Hot. Heat. Houses, Etc.

Summer has taken over the south with a vengeance. Record breaking temperatures continue to soar and even these mountains offer little relief. We went for over two weeks without a thunder storm and the one we got only a few days ago was so brief it felt as if it never happened at all. I dream of crisp fall days and chilly nights. I long for cool breezes and weather that goes perfectly with a fuzzy woolen cap. Bring on the harvest. I am ready for August to say goodbye.

Our hunt for houses continues and we will be getting another year long rental before we buy a house. Things never go as planned and I am trying to remember that. The search is on in this unforgiving summer heat.
I dream of adorable houses with hardwood floors and covered porches.
As well as rapidly cooling weather.
