"Another world is not only possible,

she is on her way.

On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing."

Waiting.

This cool and rainy summer has made us all a bit more internal. An unseasonable sense of cozy has enveloped us all in the mountains.
A feeling we are not used to this time of year.
A feeling that is usually thrown out into summer's hot unrelenting embrace.
Washed away with the first dive into the swimming hole, or spit out with the seeds after the first sweet gush of watermelon.
But the melons sit waiting, and the still green tomatoes sit longingly on their vines, dreaming red and juicy dreams....wishing for an August heat wave that has not yet arrived.
Perhaps all of us are a little green on the inside, wondering what parts of us have not yet ripened. Wondering what part of us wants to come to fruition, and then be let go of.
Released and then harvested
in the bright gold eclipse of autumn.
