Spring!!! Grill out!!! Sunshine!!!

It happened. Miraculously. One week after a winter storm turned Asheville into an Arctic wasteland, Spring descended on the mountains.
Perhaps it is the fickle nature of global warming that brought seventy five degree temeptures to the city. In this case, I truly don't mind. Our amazing back porch has been our permanent residence the last few days and we had our first grill out of the season last night. It happened spontaneously and friends and neighbors came over to eat and laugh and soak up the extra hour of sunlight. Truly delicious.....
Happy Spring y'all.

PS: my creative juices feel a bit blocked of late and I am racking my brain for a good story to tell. Soon. I promise.

Love to hear it! It snowed here two days ago! But spring IS coming... the sap is beginning to run, cats are "rendevousing" (How do ya spell it?). I think of you often. Love to you both! Mom Marie

I'm drooling over those yummy looking asparagus and sizzling with envy over your warm weather. We're still shivering in below freezing temperatures.

I cannot tell you how the sight of asparagus makes me think of you! I just bought some myself - all due to the first signs of spring. The crocus are pushing the snow aside and I just saw the first moth of the season. We're loving the ocean but missing that deck. Enjoy and thanks for the blog...Love, Kate

Yum yummm. Looks delicious. Aren't back porches just the best? So many visions & stories share and tell. No back porch grilling in these parts. Today it is cloudy with spurts of rain. Love to you, dear Selene.

I wish I lived in a town that had a Spring. Unfortunately, we only have two seasons here -- hot and slightly chillier.
