Finally.

The thunder storms have already started. They come creeping in on muggy afternoons and start suddenly- like monsoons. Baseball games have begun and I have graced McCormick field with a beer and hot dog in hand, deeply inhaling the smell of mowed grass, and celebrating the sport that means spring. Spring!! Blossoms are popping up around our house and Dustin's garden is in the works. The boar bees are in full force, eating wood and clumsily running into walls. Soon the lightning bugs will come out to play and I will have to take a special trip into the country just to gaze at their splendor. Porch season is ON and grill outs are a weekly tradition.
Life. Leaves. Blossoms. Splendor.
Bring it on.

For Finn

Finn,
After the initial shock of the "C" word the other night I have decided to stop grieving. Because you are still here and very much alive. I will not utter it's word again in reference to you, in fear that it will give it power.
I know you can beat this Finn.
You WILL.
There are still too many moments to create, too many laugh's still un-uttered and waiting to be released in high pitched gafaws. Only you can make me laugh that way. I crave your random comments, said in your thoughtful Finn-like way that result in contemplation, discussion and, inevitably, giggles.
You are a LIGHT.
In my life.
And in everyone's life who knows you.
There is no one like you.
Anywhere.
When someone asks me to describe you a smile always creeps across my face. There are no words really.
Special. Unique. Fabulous.
These are adjectives that come up.
But never really do you justice.
"More Fun With Finn"
was the motto.
I wanted to silk screen it on t-shirts. Because that pretty much sums it up.
Life is More Fun with you
Finn.
Life is MORE
with you.
So, fight this with all your might.
You can do it.
Yes.
You can.

I love you.
So very much.

Brunette.

I did it.
So there.
