Random Thoughts

Home from the bar, my mind fuzzy with customer relations. It is so strange how I serve poison all night long, see the unhealthy effects of it and all I want by the end is the exact poison I have been serving. An ice cold beer takes the edge off after hours of serving the alcoholics, smokers and general public.
But through it all I see the light at the end of the tunnel. 5 more weeks of serving and working-and then I'm done-for awhile that is. Our road trip will be the mini-vacay we have needed. Once in Asheville, well, we shall see. One can only go so long without work. But for the brief time that we are on the open road we will be free of it. Free to roam through the landscapes of our mind and entertain possibilities. There is nothin' like a road trip through the amazing landscapes of this country. With all that is wrong right now it is easy to forget what is so great about us. Our beautiful and diverse landscapes never cease to amaze me. When cruising through the American Outback-I feel as free and open as the sky.
7 more weeks 'till takeoff.
Yeeha.

PS: for those of you who still read this blog-thank you. I know it has been sporadic and scatterd. It'll get better. Promise.
